Jonatán López is a Colombian-American director based in Los Angeles. His career began as an editor for Terrence Malick, Richard Linklater and Beyoncé. In doing so, he developed a unique and inventive approach to visual storytelling.
Previously, Jonatán worked as a creative director for Spotify, creating a slate of original content. His directing credits includes projects for Spotify, Expedia, Apple, Chase, Coinbase, Disney, McDonald’s, and Denny’s.
His work has premiered at Cannes, Tribeca, and SXSW—where his short documentary received an Audience Jury Prize.
Jonatán's love of music has led him to collaborate with artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, A$AP Ferg, Flying Lotus, Phoebe Bridgers, HAIM, Chromeo, Aminé, and many others.
He is currently developing an animated TV series with Sony Pictures Television.
